Dr. Purnima Patel

Medical Retina, Uveitis, and Cataract Surgery
Founder of ORA Vision, Dr. Patel is an internationally recognized ophthalmologist with expertise in medical retina, uveitis, and cataract surgery. She trained at Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate and medical studies. She completed her residency at Emory and her fellowship at the University of Southern California. She served on faculty at Emory for over 11 years being promoted to Associated Professor. She is past president of the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology and Women in Ophthalmology and on the Board of Trustees for the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Rachel Shah

Medical Retina, Uveitis, and Comprehensive Eye Care
Dr. Shah is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical retina and uveitis. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from the University of Michigan. She completed her residency in New York City at Montefiore Medical Center and fellowship training at Emory University School of Medicine. She has served on the Emory Eye Center faculty and continues to teach Emory residents through her part-time role at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Dr. Shah is passionate about building meaningful patient relationships and providing expert care tailored to each individual’s needs.
